L’altra Toscana…

Quando si parla di Toscana, a livello fotografico, è subito chiaro a cosa stiamo pensando. Natura, colline, campi immensi, dove casolari solitari sono gli unici guardiani di queste terre. Grandi tele dove i colori del giallo, del verde e del marrone, danzano assieme componendo un quadro sotto il cielo azzurro.

Ma Toscana non vuol dire solo Val d’Orcia. Un piccolo territorio semplicemente meraviglioso è la zona di Orciano Pisano e Santa Luce. Piccoli borghi meno conosciuti, ma di una rara ed incredibile bellezza.

Situata tra Pisa e Livorno, questa zona incarna alla perfezione la bellezza del territorio toscano. Contadini e agricoltori disegnano e dipingono coi loro aratri queste terre meravigliose. Ad ogni stagione si possono cogliere le mille sfumature della terra, dei campi, dei fiori e del grano. Tutta la bellezza di questo paesaggio si manifesta con enormi distese, coltivazioni, agriturismi.

Osservare questa tavolozza di colori all’alba e al tramonto è un privilegio che fortunatamente riesco a concedermi spesso. La Toscana è la mia terra, e fotografarla è una valvola di sfogo che mi rimette al mondo. Mi fa stare bene. Il contatto con la natura è puro, intenso. Ti prende, ti rapisce. Spero solo di riuscire a trasmettere anche solo una piccola parte di queste emozioni con questi scatti.

When it comes to Tuscany, on a photographic level, it is immediately clear what we are thinking about. Nature, hills, immense fields, where solitary farmhouses are the only guardians of these lands. Large canvases where the colors of yellow, green and brown dance together composing a painting under the blue sky.

But Tuscany does not mean only Val d’Orcia. A simply wonderful small territory is the area of Orciano Pisano and Santa Luce. Small villages less known, but of rare and incredible beauty.

Located between Pisa and Livorno, this area perfectly embodies the beauty of the Tuscan territory. Peasants and farmers draw and paint these wonderful lands with their plows. At every season you can catch the thousand shades of the earth, the fields, the flowers and the wheat. All the beauty of this landscape is manifested by huge expanses, crops, farmhouses.

Observing this color palette at sunrise and sunset is a privilege that fortunately I am able to grant myself often. Tuscany is my land, and photographing it is a relief valve that puts me back in the world. It makes me feel good. Contact with nature is pure, intense. It takes you, kidnaps you. I only hope to be able to transmit even a small part of these emotions with these shots.
